Many of us have to fit an exercise routine into an already busy schedule and are tempted to simply skip the warm up routine, even though we have heard about people getting injured while working out. The answer: don’t do that. When you skip your warm up, you are not only putting your body as risk of injury, but you are also making the workout more difficult and less effective. For the best results, it is important to warm up every time before exercising.

Warming up doesn’t have to eat up the time you allotted for exercise into your day. In fact, a decent workout only has to be 5 minutes long to do its job. It doesn’t have to be boring either—you can mix up a number of great moves to make your warm up as fun as the rest of your exercising. Remember that a good warm up gets all of your muscles moving, even if you don’t think that you’ll be intensely working out a set of muscles on any particular day. Warming up is also important regardless of if you’re doing cardiovascular exercises or lifting weights.

The moves you do for a warm up shouldn’t necessarily be difficult or make you break a sweat. The main goal of the warm up isn’t to become a part of your workout, but simply to slowly move muscles that you haven’t really thought about all day to wake them up. Good moves, therefore, include things like jogging in place, doing jumping jacks, lunging, and jumping rope.

A good warm-up can also including slowly stretching your muscles in a variety of ways, although this is usually more effective for a cool-down. Also consider exercises that work on balance and form in order to prepare you for the exercises you will be doing in the workout.

If you’re really short on time, why not try warming up before you even get to the gym. Slowly jog or power walk to the gym, park as far away as possible and lunge to the door, and take the stairs instead of the elevator. That way, when you get to the gym to workout your warm up routine is already half way done.

A good workout always builds in intensity. This is the best way to shed pounds and maintain a healthy weight. Weight loss workouts are only risky if you don’t warm up, because otherwise your body will respond to prevent injuries. Although you may be tempted to skip this step, that is never a good idea.

If you a man aged 50 or more, there are certain prostate cancer questions and answers you need to know. You could be facing serious illness or even premature death without this knowledge. However, with the proper information you may discover how to avoid the possibility of a premature death.

This article is not intended as medical advice, nor should it be taken as such. It is for informational purposes only. As always with a physical illness you should consult your personal physician right away. Please read on for more information.

Question: What is the prostate and where is it located?

Answer: The prostate is a male sex gland about the size of a walnut. Its purpose is to create fluids that mix with the seaman to protect the sperm. You will find the prostate gland located around the bottom of your bladder and it surrounds the urethra tube, through which you pass urine and sperm fro your body.

Question: What are the odds of a man over 50 being diagnosed with a malingnacy of the prostate?

Answer: In the United State if you are 50 or older you stand a 1 in 6 chance of being diagnosed with a malignant tumor or tumors of the prostate. However if you are of African American and Hispanic heritage you stand an increased chance of prostate cancer of 1 in 4.

Question: What kind of symptoms normally show up in a prostate malignancy?

Answer: Unfortunately symptoms may not show up for many years. The reason for this is because this type of cancer grows quite slowly. However, when the symptoms do appear, they also may be caused by another medical problem and just not prostate cancer. The following is just a partial list of the symptoms:

a. Pain in the hips, lower back, pelvic region or even the upper thighs.
b. Difficulty urinating.
c. Difficulty in getting and maintaining an erection.
d. Passing blood in the urine or seamen
e. These are just a few of the symptoms there are others.

It is important if you demonstrating any of these symptoms you should contact your Doctor immediately.

Question: Is it possible to detect a prostate malignancy early?

Answer: This question can be answered with a resounding YES. Currently there are two primary tests, one of which is a Digital Rectal Exam (DRE). This test is performed by having the man bending over or laying on his side and Doctor inserts a finger up through the rectum to the prostate. The doctor then can determine if the prostate has hardened and increased in size.

Normally if your doctor detects a hardening or increase in size of the prostate he will order the second test. This test is often referred to as a PSA blood test. The purpose of the PSA is to detect if you have an increased level of prostate-specific antigen in your blood. The normal count is around four and with a count of 6 or higher your doctor may order more test to determine if cancer is present in your body.

Thanks to the widespread use of these two tests in men over 50 and earlier for African American men, more than ninety percent of prostate cancer is detected early. This early detection is responsible for a 98% survival rate of over 5 years for men with this type of malignancy.

These four prostate cancer and answers are just the beginning of knowledge you should have about prostate cancer. Once again it is strongly recommended that you contact your doctor for specific answers to your questions.

A green tea diet is one of that can be very good for your body. If you are the type of person who maintains quite an active lifestyle but don’t take the time to diet and exercise as you should, then this could be for you. In today’s hurry up age, it is very possible to spend much of our days rushing to and fro, only taking time to grab a bite to eat on the run. We don’t blame you for being on the go, but at some point you have to stop and take care of your health and body to make sure they both last you for the long run.

Such a lifestyle, while conducive to getting things done as quickly as they need to be, is harsh on your body and more specifically your metabolism. Taking the time to replace nutrients that are lost from eating fast food and poor nutritional content in your diet is very important. Green tea is an excellent choice to do just that.

Deciding to go on green tea diet doesn’t have to be an ordeal but careful planning and consideration should be given to creating a diet plan that you can stick to and that will yield results you desire. There are many different diets on the market that use the words green tea in them to get your attention. Don’t fall for imposters that claim to be green tea but actually only have a small percentage of green tea extract listed as a fourth or fifth ingredient on the list.

Because there are so many green tea diet gurus, web sites and merchandisers who have products on the market, you should expect to spend a little time researching which diet you feel is best for you. Be wary of diet plans that claim you will lose an outrageous amount of weight in practically no time because these claims are usually false and unfounded. Also watch for web sites that offer you a free bottle of their product for only the cost of shipping and handling as these are often auto ship programs that indicate in very small print that upon accepting their offer you are requesting to be put on an auto shipment program that will continue charging your credit card on a monthly basis.

When you find a green tea diet that you would like to go on, it is a good practice to check with your physician, particularly if you are taking any other medications that may react to the addition of green tea to your diet. Once you’re cleared by your doctor, set realistic goals and milestones. Be sure to reward yourself for each milestone you reach.

Remember, no diet will yield results without a commitment to sticking with the diet. A green tea diet is no exception and should be used regularly as planned. That way, whether you are considering a green tea diet for cleansing or any other reason you will be giving your body the benefit of the many wonderful properties contained in the formula.

What is the best treatment for prostate cancer? There may not be a definitive answer for the question. However, it is the intent of this article to give you food for thought and might help you form some questions to ask your doctor.

First let’s get this out of the way. This article is not intended as medical advice, nor should it be taken as medical advice. It is for informational purposes only. As always with a physical illness you should consult your personal physician right away. Now you can read on for more information.

There are many factors which have to be taken under consideration, by you and your medical team, before locking in the proper treatment for you. What makes this difficult is each individual man diagnosed with prostate cancer is going to be different from the other guy. One guy may be in almost perfect health, except for the beginning stage of the malignancy. The next guy may have other life threatening diseases, which will restrict the type of treatment to be given.

Now here is one thing which may well upset you. Depending on what stage your prostate cancer is in your Doctor may well prescribe not to do anything. That’s right! He may just want you to wait and watch. The reason for this is prostate cancer is so slow growing and the symptoms are so slow developing, he may not know which treatment may be the best for you. However, this period of watching will make sure your team of medical professionals gets your treatment right, the first time around.

Now that you are over your shock here is some more information which may ease your mind.

The truth is the best prostate cancer treatment may well only be one type of treatment or it may be a combination of several. In other words again depending on the stage level of your illness one or more treatments will be recommended. This can be a complex decision so you may want to get a second opinion. Don’t hesitate to get that 2nd opinion if you are uncomfortable with your team’s recommendation. In the next few moments you will read more about some of these treatments or combinations thereof.

Depending on whether your cancer has spread into the close surrounding tissue of the prostrate or has remained localized (remain inside the prostate) radiotherapy by itself may be used. This treatment is administered by a focused x-ray beam directly to the prostate gland. It can also be used if the tumor has masticated and infected the immediate surrounding tissue or lymph’s of the prostate.

Although some of the tumor has broken off and spread to the tissues it still may be considered to be localized. When this does happen the most effective treatment may be a combination of radiotherapy and perhaps hormone therapy. This means the infected areas will receive radioactive waves plus a hormone which will block the male testosterone being release into the prostate.

However, you may also find your medical team will recommend the above treatment combined with a radical prostatectomy. What this means for you is of course removal of the prostate and the radioactive treatment to the surrounding tissues. With the advances made in medical technology, such as laser beams, the prostatectomy can be performed with little or no damage done to the surrounding nerves and nerve endings.

That is really good news for the majority of men now, as it means you will not have anywhere near the problems with erectile dysfunction, as so many did in the past years.

Finally, common sense tells you that you have many options as for as to the treatment you will receive for prostate cancer. But as stated above it is important for you to consult your medical team before deciding on the best prostate cancer treatment.

Tea is rapidly becoming one of the most popular drinks in the world. Tea has a great taste and it is a very versatile drink, but it is also extremely healthy for you as well. Many people understand the health benefits of tea, including Chinese cultures, Japanese cultures, Europeans, Taiwanese and African cultures. Health conscious citizens in America are just now beginning to understand the health benefits of tea, and the fact that drinking tea or consuming tea in other forms can be one of the best things that you can do in order to improve your health.

Green tea is quickly sweeping the nation, because the health benefits of tea are overwhelming. Green tea is widely known for providing a number of health benefits, including anti aging properties, the elimination of free radicals, weight loss benefits and many other advantages.

Many of the health benefits of tea come from EGCG, which is an extremely powerful natural antioxidant. Antioxidants work to rid your body of harmful free radicals, which can damage the cells in your body, reducing your lifespan and causing other illnesses like cancer. Free radicals are responsible for many of the effects of aging, and the aging process can therefore be slowed down by EGCG and tea. The EGCG in your tea can also help speed up your metabolism, giving you a better sense of well being and making it easier for you to lose weight and remain healthy over time.

Because of the health benefits of tea, there is no greater health drink that you can consume not only to keep you healthy but also prevent and cure some illnesses. Green tea comes from the same plant as other teas, like black and Oolong teas for example. Green tea is different however, because it does not undergo the fermentation process and therefore still contains the EGCG. The benefits of green tea include weight loss, fighting bacteria, fighting infection, preventing tooth decay, repairing your immune system, fighting free radicals and preventing cardiovascular disease.

Green tea, because it is not fermented like Oolong tea, black tea and other forms of tea, offers more health benefits that other forms of tea cannot offer. All forms of tea offer their own unique set of health benefits, so drinking any tea will be beneficial to your health and well being. Black tea, for example, contributes to reducing bad cholesterol and has been linked to healing blood cells. Black tea also contributes to good heart health. Oolong, which is only partially fermented, offers a mix of the benefits associated with green tea and those associated with black tea.

Black tea, Oolong tea and green tea all offer benefits, which make them an excellent addition to your diet. If you can incorporate tea into your diet on a daily basis, then you can benefit long term from the antioxidants that these forms of tea are rich in. The health benefits of tea are numerous, and make it well worth adding to your diet if you want to maintain good health for a long time.
